Effective date: 12 October 2026.
This policy explains how WorldRadio.Online handles information when you browse our radio directory, play a station, or load station artwork hosted on our website, including artwork displayed on another website using TuneSera.
Website and image requests
Our website, hosting and security services receive information needed to deliver and protect requests: IP address, requested URL, time, browser and device headers, and a referring page when your browser supplies one. This includes requests for station logos under worldradio.online/wp-content/uploads/. An image request can occur without playing audio and may originate from a separate website displaying our hosted artwork. We use request information for delivery, troubleshooting, abuse prevention and service security.
Radio streams and external services
Stations operate their own broadcasts. Starting playback normally connects your browser to the station stream host, which receives your IP address and browser request information. Where our audio relay is used, our server receives your request and connects to the stream provider on your behalf. Stream providers determine their own logging and privacy practices.
Now-playing features can request track information from station hosts or Zeno services and can load artwork from external hosts. These requests may occur while browsing or opening the player. External hosts receive information necessary to serve those requests. Their terms and privacy policies apply to their services. Station website and social links take you to separate services. Sharing a station sends its title and page URL to the selected sharing service when you use that feature.
Browser storage and cookies
Directory preferences, selected country, theme appearance, favorites and playback state may be saved in your browser using cookies, local storage or session storage. These help preserve your choices between views or visits. WordPress uses authentication cookies for signed-in accounts. You can clear site data or restrict cookies in your browser; some preferences and features will then reset or stop working.
Listening statistics
WorldRadio uses TuneSera Pro listening analytics to understand station popularity and service performance. Playback attempts, successful starts, listening duration, errors and interaction events may be recorded with pseudonymous session identifiers, device and browser categories, referral domain and available approximate country information. These records do not prove that a person heard the audio. Analytics does not store raw IP addresses, although our hosting and security request logs may contain them. A pseudonymous identifier is still information that can distinguish a session; it is not a claim of complete anonymity.
Information you provide
If you contact us, we process your contact details and the information in your message to respond, correct directory records, handle rights requests or investigate complaints. Please avoid sending sensitive information that is not needed for your request.
Sharing, retention and security
Hosting, delivery and security providers process request information to operate the service. Station and external service providers receive information through the requests described above. We may disclose information when required by applicable law or when necessary to investigate abuse and protect the service.
Browser preferences remain until you clear them or the browser or feature removes them. Server logs, analytics records and correspondence are retained according to their operational purpose and configured retention, and may remain in backups until those backups expire. We aim to retain identifiable information only as long as needed for delivery, security, support and applicable obligations. Access is restricted to people and service providers who need it, but no online service can promise absolute security.
Your choices and requests
You can stop playback, avoid external sharing links, clear browser site data, and use your browser privacy controls. Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction or deletion of personal information, object to processing, or complain to your local data-protection authority. We may need information to verify a request; records that cannot be linked to you may not be identifiable for export or deletion.
